Six athlètes du Club Éclipse Taekwon-Do Laval étaient présents pour cette compétition qui regroupait 32 pays. Les compétiteurs lavalois se sont démarqués en remportant plusieurs médailles. <br><br>Marie-Claude Messier, Instructeur en Chef au Club Éclipse, a remporté une médaille d or en forme chez les femmes ceinture noire 3ième degré et une médaille de bronze en combat chez les femmes poids micros. Richard Nguyen, l assistant instructeur, a quant à lui bien fait en remportant les honneurs en formes chez les hommes ceinture noire 1ier degré. Émmanuel Edmond, qui en était à sa première compétition internationale, a remporté la médaille de bronze en combat dans les épreuves en équipe. Louis-marie Guiamatsia s est mérité la médaille de bronze en combat chez les hommes poids super lourds et a aussi participé au combat par équipe et remporté le bronze avec Emmanuel et les autres canadiens. Finalement, Kristy-Lee Roach, ceinture rouge, a gagné l or en forme chez les filles juniors ceintures rouges et la médaille de bronze en combat chez les juniors ceinture rouge poids lourd.
